This document describes the types of rules that can be applied to models that have advanced feature parameters captured.
Driving advanced feature dimensions increases model generation time. Where possible capture feature dimensions (distances, numbers and angles) as dimensions rather than an advanced feature parameter.
During model generation captured dimensions are driven before captured advanced feature parameters. If the advanced feature parameter has also been captured as a dimension the value being driven into the advanced feature parameter will override the captured dimension.
Parameter | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Depth | Distance | Sets the depth of this simple hole feature |
Diameter | Distance | Sets the diameter of this simple hole feature |
DraftWhileExtruding | True/False | Set as true to apply a draft angle to the simple hole feature |
DraftAngle | Angle | Sets the draft angle for this simple hole feature. |
DraftOutwards | True/False | Sets whether to draft the simple hole feature outward |
Type | One of the following values: Blind ThroughAll UpToNext Midplane | Set Type as Blind to define the hole with a depth Set Type as ThroughAll to set the hole to cut through all bodies Set Type as UpToNext to set the hole to cut up to the next surface Set Type as MidPlane to define the hole with a depth centred on the sketch plane |
SurfaceOffset | Distance | Sets the offset distance of an OffsetFromSurface hole |
ReverseOffset | True/False | Reverses the direction of the offset distance for an OffsetFromSurface hole |
TranslateSurface | True/False | Applies the offset distance relative to the specified surface |
