This document describes the types of rules that can be applied to models that have advanced feature parameters captured.
Driving advanced feature dimensions increases model generation time. Where possible capture feature dimensions (distances, numbers and angles) as dimensions rather than an advanced feature parameter.
During model generation captured dimensions are driven before captured advanced feature parameters. If the advanced feature parameter has also been captured as a dimension the value being driven into the advanced feature parameter will override the captured dimension.
Parameter | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Distance | Distance | Set the distance of the ruled surface |
Angle | Angle | Set the angle of a TaperedToVector type ruled surface |
TrimAndKnit | True/False | Set overlapping surfaces created by the ruled surface feature to trim and knit |
ConnectingSurface | True/False | Set the ruled surface feature to create connecting surfaces at discontinuous edges |
Type | One of the following values: TangentToSurface NormalToSurface TaperedToVector PerpendicularToVector Sweep | Create a ruled surface tangent to the original surface Create a ruled surface normal to the original surface Create a ruled surface tapered to the direction vector Create a ruled surface perpendicular to the direction vector Create a swept ruled surface along a guide curve |
