This document describes the types of rules that can be applied to models that have advanced feature parameters captured.
Driving advanced feature dimensions increases model generation time. Where possible capture feature dimensions (distances, numbers and angles) as dimensions rather than an advanced feature parameter.
During model generation captured dimensions are driven before captured advanced feature parameters. If the advanced feature parameter has also been captured as a dimension the value being driven into the advanced feature parameter will override the captured dimension.
Parameter | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Angle | Angle | Set the draft angle |
AllowReducedAngle | True/False | Allows a draft angle to be created when the resulting surface would be at an angle of 90 degrees or more |
ReverseDirection | True/False | Change the direction in which the draft angle is applied |
FacePropagation | One of the following values: None Tangent AllLoops InnerLoops OuterLoops | The draft will only affect the selected faces The draft will propagate to tangent surfaces All faces will be drafted All inner faces extruded from the neutral plane will be drafted All outer faces next to the neutral plane will be drafted |
StepType | One of the following values: Perpendicular TaperedStep | Creates the draft surfaces perpendicular to the original main face Creates the draft surfaces in the same manner as the tapered surfaces |
